Grant monies used to expose the link between violence and academic performance   Imagine being afraid to play at your neighborhood park, pool or basketball court. For many Chicago children, this is the case. Places that were created for family recreational use are now territories for street gangs. This exposure to inner-city youth violence shows a direct link to poor academic performance and student behavior. The Life Focus crew comes armed with a camera and a Christian counselor to the Schilling family residence.
