Carol Kent lived every parent’s nightmare. After her only son was sentenced to life in prison, without possibility of parole, her life took a permanent detour. She had to live with the reality that her son committed murder and in the state of mandatory sentencing, with the reality that he would never be allowed out again. For Douglas Miller Sr., life has taken a harsh turn as well. His only son died in the hands of Jason Paul Kent. For this grief stricken father, life is about living with loss and anguish. As Carol learns to live again, and Doug Sr. learns to forgive, they tell the story of how they adjusted to “A New Kind of Normal,” when life took an unexpected turn.

I think the courts in Fl. need to change the lest
a person gets for murder is life w/out the parole.
each case is differnt. fl. needs to get out the next time their term is up you all need to vote &
to get that law taken off the books
and also you need to take a petison up to have it change, the courts should listen to all the facts.

I am still thinking of Jasons Plight a day later.How corageous are the parents on both sides. What a great Loss of a good person and productive citizen of our country. I hope the Lord can comofort Jason and both parents and his wife and daughters. I know the Lord can use Jason in Jail and can perform a miracle in getting him out. I plan to keep him in my prayers daily.
OMGOSH....oh how I wish I could tell you........I was only able to see a short short version.....the very beginning...and I was already crying when it STOPPED...how can I get the whole segment/episode?...As for the RATING RIGHT NOW I WOULD ALREADY HAVE TO GIVE IT A 5 STAR RATING.....OH BUT I WANT/HAVE TO SEE THE REST....HOW can I do this?
Oh I FORGOT TO PUT THE 5 STARS I'm......SORRY......AND that 5 stars was just from the part that I was able to see/view. Would someone be so kind as to instruct me how to be able to view the rest of this Heart Breaking Story....OMGOSH......I have got/want to see the rest of this.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So as I am trying to wipe away these tears from my heart crying for these two people or from being so upset that I am not able to see the middle and ENDING!!!!!!!! Carol Kent and the Kent Family is a disgrace to Christianity. How carefully they have packaged and marketed their son's taking of a human life into such a successful money making endeavor.
They should be ashamed of themselves. They twist the truth everytime they speak or write. The sentencing "guidelines" they are so upset about, well they happen to be the penalty for planning and carryibng out a murder. He killed someone, and that's his punishment. The bigger travisty is how the Kent family loves to run around the country slandering the victim and raking in hundreds of thousands of $'s as they do it at the victim's expense. I've never heard Jason publically say he was sorry or express any remorse. She was a mediocre writer at best before now she is becoming wealthy exploiting the murder of another person's child. Shame on you Carol Kent! Your concience should bother you. You are only interested in repackaging a cold blooded killer for financial gain. But how should Jason have remorse when his own family has no sense of decency. What a money making machine. Hope Jason never sees the light of day.
