The Reverend Roderick N. Williams is an anointed preacher and teacher who accepted the call to Christian service at an early age. He is the former Mennonite Pastor of Community Christian Fellowship of Detroit at present he is the Senior Pastor of Fellowship Community Church of Chicago after serving on the ministerial staff as an elder at Apostolic Faith Church under the leadership of Bishop Horace Smith M.D. for several years.
Rev. Williams is the President & CEO of Norman Fay & Associates, LLC a counseling and consulting practice and developer of Convicted 2 Change ministry, a ministry designed for mentoring support groups to men and youth. Most recently, Rod was the Executive Director of Prison Fellowship (“PF”) over a three-state region – Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin – responsible for leading staff and volunteers in the restoration of prisoners, ex-prisoners and their families. Founded in 1976 by Chuck Colson, PF partners with local churches across the country to minister to a group that society often scorns and neglects: prisoners, ex-prisoners, and their families.
Rev. Williams is skilled in facilitation and excellent at training trainers. He is project manager and a very creative strategic thinker with a gift for mobilizing the right people to accomplish what needs to be done.Rev. Williams is a seasoned leader who has a heart for serving “the least of these.” He believes that we have a responsibility to advance the Kingdom of God and is committed to doing this by assisting local churches in building their capacity of ministry.
He is a licensed Clinical Therapist and has a BS in Electronic Engineering from Washington State University and BS in Education and Psychology from Siena Heights University and presently completing a Masters in Clinical Mental Health at DePaul University. Rod is married to the Reverend Angela F. Williams, Esq., Senior Vice President & General Counsel of YMCA of the USA and has three children and six grandchildren.
