Steve is a highly skilled and established TV/media marketing executive, with 25 years of domestic and international experience, in TV program distribution, sales, sponsorship, and management in the broadcast TV and cable industry. Specifically regarding his TV syndication career, Steve has led the distribution of several national syndication rollouts of TV series and specials, including the launch of Liberty University’s TV sports network programming, “LFSN.”
A relational and skilled negotiator with proven success, Steve has negotiated seven-figure TV rights deals with nearly every major TV studio, and also with professional sports leagues including the NFL, PGA TOUR and others, for both domestic TV stations and cable channels, as well as overseas channels in the Middle East. Steve has also provided interim management of TV stations in crisis situations, specifically rebuilding a full power New Orleans TV station after hurricane Katrina.
He has also served on marketing teams for theatrical film releases for “Hacksaw Ridge” and many others, building grassroots interest and growing box office receipts. Steve is a natural advocate, able to champion and bring visibility to diverse causes, and grow pool of passionate supporters, and garner trust and confidence of Boards and Executive teams.
Steve has a BA in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Public Policy, and he often is a guest lecturer at local universities. He and his wife Jill have 4 sons, and he has served in many lay leadership positions over the years at his church, including that of Worship Leader. He is also very involved in his community as a civic leader and is known well by his city’s mayor and city council.
